YSU in 1921
|
| The YMCA Board of Trustees voted to officially change the name of the institution from the Youngstown Association School to the Youngstown Institute of Technology. At the newly-christened Institute, the first liberal arts courses were taught. Judge George Gessner succeeded Theodore Johnson as dean of the Law School, and Alpha Sigma Pi was founded to serve the students of the Law School. It would become the oldest fraternity (professional or social) on campus. |
