A bequest of $40,000 was left to the Dana School of Music through the will of a former Youngstown woman, Bessie A. Wilson, who died in California. The money was given under the stipulation that a scholarship fund be established in memory of Miss Wilson’s late sister, Katherine McDowell Wilson. Enrollment at Youngstown University increased by over 600 students and eight new instructors were added to the University faculty. The University community also mourned the loss of Attorney Raymond Leonard Falls, Dean of the YU Law School, who succumbed to a heart attack.
