Please submit all Music Library Course Reserve List requests on one of the following forms:
-
Word Document for both digital listening and regular reserves (right click, save, and print).
-
Paper copy available at the Multimedia Center Desk.
-
Instructors may place books, scores, and recordings on reserve in the Multimedia Center. All course reserve items are listed or listed in the Maag Library Catalog reserves system. "Hard Copy" reserve materials normally circulate for 2 hours, but faculty may request other restrictions.
-
The Multimedia Center policies adhere to the Maag Library and YSU copyright policies, policies regarding Electronic Reserves, and general policies related to course reserves. The Multimedia Center's complete course reserve policy is here, but the most important considerations are:
-
Please submit reserves requests one month before you expect to assign the items.
-
The Multimedia Center processes reserve lists in the order they are received.
-
Lists with complete bibliographic information (and library call numbers) are processed first; lists with extensive incomplete information may be returned for completion.
-
Emergency requests will be processed in the order received, but not to the detriment of processing reserve materials submitted on time.
-
Due to space and staff limitations in the Multimedia Center we may limit course reserves to a reasonable number of items relative to the class size and to required readings only.
-
Copyright law requires that the library own or attempt to purchase every item we place on reserve, including digital reserves. Non-commercial compilations cannot be placed on reserve without complete source and bibliographic information so that we can determine if the library owns a copy and can place an order if not.
