Finding Ohio Documents

The Government Documents Department of Maag Library is a depository for Ohio state government publications.  Ohio documents are arranged by classification numbers similar to that used by the federal government.  For example, publications from the Ohio Department of Education are grouped together under the OED category; Department of Natural Resources publications are shelved together under ONR.  The Ohio publications are shelved at the very beginning of the Government Documents collection.

Many, but unfortunately not all, Ohio documents can be found by searching MaagNet.  We are in the processing of adding Ohio documents to the catalog. Be sure to ask for assistance if you are having difficulty locating Ohio material.

One helpful site to check is the Cumulative List of Ohio Documents prepared by the Documents Department of the State Library of Ohio.   Here you will find a list of publications from state agencies,  along with an indication of whether or not the publication was made available to depository libraries around the state.  A print copy of the Cumulative List is available in the Documents Office.
