Provides overview of topics in the applied sciences.  Chemical engineering and technology is represented by such topics as  catalytic converters, chlorofluorocarbons, enzyme engineering, lubricants, petroleum processing and synthetic fibers among others.

Encyclopedia of Modern Technology.  A brief (one-volume) overview of the history of and advances in technology.

Dictionary of Engineering Acronyms and Abbreviations.  Part A identifies acronyms and abbreviations used in science and engineering.  Part B identifies periodical title abbreviations.

Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology.  22 volumes. Encompasses chemical technology, industrial processes, unit operations, processes and fundamentals of chemistry.

Encyclopedic Dictionary of Chemical Technology.  Defines technical terms, chemical processes and products relating to chemical technology.  Includes abbreviations of compounds used in formulas, acronyms for chemicals and methods as well as organizations and chemical emergency numbers for the World Health Organization.

Dictionary of Chemical Names and Synonyms. Identifies chemical names, structure and CAS Registry numbers. If you have a CAS number and want to find chemical name, synonym, molecular weight or SMILES notation use section I.  If you know the chemical name and want additional information, use section II.  Section III is indexed by chemical formula.

Gardner's Chemical Synonyms and Trade Names.  Part 1 lists chemicals and trade names with cross references to the main entries.  Part II is a Manufacturer's Directory.  Part III provides cross references from CAS numbers to trade names.

Compendex (1980-present).Online version of Engineering Index.

Science Citation Index Expanded  [ISI] (1990-present).  The electronic version of the Science Citation Index.  Provides references to cited authors and articles as well as keyword searches.

OhioLINK Electronic Journal Center  (1995-present).  Full text of journal articles from major publishers. Currently includes journals published by Elsevier Science and Academic Press from 1995 to the present. Browse by journal title or subject category or do a keyword search. An OhioLINK Database.  Currently available through the campus computer network only.
