Look here for books, government documents and other materials (not journal articles) owned by Maag Library.
Search by subject, keyword, author or title. If you have difficulty locating the correct subject heading, it may help to consult the Library of Congress Subject Headings, a set of large red books located behind the Reference Desk in the Reference Room. Some suggested subject headings are: furniture, furniture design, furniture design--history, interior decoration, decorative arts, architecture--domestic, architecture--modern, architecture--classical, antiques.

Ref. Z 1236.A48 (1964 to date) and online as America: History and Life (1969 to date).
America History and Life. Begin with the Annual Index volume to look up your subject such as Furniture and Furnishings or Decorative Arts. From there, consult the article number in the appropriate volume of Part A: Article Abstracts and Citations. A brief abstract will summarize the article and refer you to the name of the periodical in which the article appeared.

Art Index. Indexes over 250 periodicals by subject and author. Check under the subject headings  Furniture, Interior design, Interior furnishings. Good source for foreign, historical, or artistic perspective.

Arts and Humanities Citation Index. (1990 to date). Provides references to cited authors and articles as well as keyword searches.  Includes links to the OhioLINK Electronic Journal Center for some articles.

Review of the arts. Fine arts and architecture (Newsbank). A current awareness reference service providing access to articles from the newspapers of over 100 U.S. cities. Full-text articles from the papers are available on microfiche (Micro fiche X 186). Subjects to check: Furniture, Antiques-Furniture and Decorative Arts.

Newspaper Abstracts. Online index to articles in over 30 newspapers nationwide, including the New York Times (Micro film X2000), Washington Post (Micro film X 842), Los Angeles Times (Micro film X 2001).and Wall Street Journal (Micro film X 468) from 1989 to date.
