Telecommunications includes all human communication that is transmitted through electronic media such as broadcasting, non-commercial broadcasting, corporate and industrial communications, cablecasting, the internet and various independent productions. Current awareness of laws and regulations regarding the field of telecommunications is essential information to researchers in this field.
To find books, government documents and other materials (not journal articles) owned by Maag Library for Telecommunications, search MaagNet, the library's online public access catalog (OPAC). MaagNet is searchable by subject, keyword, author or title. If you have difficulty locating the correct subject heading, it may help to consult the Library of Congress Subject Headings, a set of large red books located behind the Reference Desk in the Reference Room. You may also search the OhioLINK Central Catalog for books and other materials owned by other libraries in OhioLINK.
To locate articles from newspapers, journals or magazines, see the sections below dealing with Indexes and Abstracts or Electronic Resources.
Examine the following list of reference sources to begin your research. Ask at the Reference Desk for assistance in using any of these sources.
