During the summer '04 semester, four new classrooms were constructed on the lower level of Maag Library. The serials collection, which had been housed on the lower level, has been relocated to the 6th floor. All journals, both the older bound volumes as well as current issues, are now on the 6th floor shelved by the Library of Congress (LC) call numbers. This will simplify the process of finding journals as all issues of a title will be together on the shelf in LC order and the journals are arranged by subject. For example, both Time and Newsweek are in the General periodicals area with call numbers that start with AP2. Over 1,000 current periodicals as well as over 7,000 terminated titles are available for your research needs at this new location. Note that current newspapers remain on the Lower Level arranged in alphabetical order by title. Many popular periodicals remain in the Maag Microform Center as well.

The Need Help? section of the Maag Library Home page provides access to thousands of electronic journals in databases such as JStor and the Electronic Journal Center.
For assistance, ask at the Serials Desk 6th floor, or ask a reference
librarian on the main floor.
