When searching MaagNet Online Catalog the location may be listed as “NE Depository.”
That means this item is stored off-site at our Northeastern Ohio Cooperative Regional
Depository (NE Depository) located in Rootsville, Ohio. Click on
NE Depository for more
information about this facility.
Two types of requests can be submitted. Books and articles require different procedures
when requesting from the NE Depository. Book requests can be tracked electronically through
Your Circulation Record; articles cannot. A book can be checked out and a photocopy of an
article is yours to keep.
Typically items are delivered to Maag Library within 3-5 days
Please follow these steps when requesting a book from the NE Depository:
- First check MaagNet Online Catalog for the specific book title.
- Books with a location of “NE Depository” may be requested using the “Request”
button at the top of the record in MaagNet.
- Periodical volumes may be requested using the Library Depository Request Form for
articles (see Article Requests).
- Check Your Circulation Record to know when the item has arrived.
Please follow these steps when requesting an article or a periodical volume from the
NE Depository:
- First check MaagNet Online Catalog for the periodical title; one can also check OhioLINK
Central Catalog for journals located at the NE Depository.
- Articles in volumes located at the “NE Depository” may be requested using a print
form available at the Reference Desk or the
Online Library Depository Request Form
- It is necessary to know the exact periodical title, article title, author, volume
and/or year, issue, and page numbers when requesting an article so that staff can find the
article.
- There is a 30 page limit on each copy request with a limit of 10 copy requests per
patron per week.
- Entire periodical volumes with a location of “NE Depository” may be requested using
the Library Depository Request Form. After completing the title, volume, and year information
simply put, “Please send the entire volume” in place of the article title. Once delivered
to Maag Library it can be viewed and articles copied in the library only.
- Notification will be by mail or e-mail depending on what you indicate. Mail is the
default. Those with a campus office address will have photocopied articles delivered via
interoffice mail.
Within three to five days the Maag Library Circulation Desk should receive the item for
pickup. Article requests are not tracked through “Your Circulation Record.” The status of a
book request will be in Your Circulation Record. To know when your book has arrived simply
follow these steps:
- Go to Your Circulation Record.
