Services for Students

Refreshments
  • Jazzman's Cafe is located on the 3rd floor
  • Vending machines are located on the lower level (near Communications Classrooms)
  • See Maag's Food and Beverage policy (Beverages in covered containers are permitted in lobby areas throughout the building.)

Study Areas

  • Need a quiet place? Try the "A" floors - individual study desks are located throughout the floors.
  • Looking for a Group Study area? Create one! Portable whiteboards are available just by asking at the reference desk on the main floor. These boards may be taken to the lobby on any floor or to the lower level where there is ample space. Most floors have round tables for 6-8. At the present time we have no actual group study rooms but there are places for groups to gather.
  • Third Floor - please note--The MultiMedia Center is a gathering place for music students and faculty, so the Third Floor may not be the best choice for a quiet place.
  • Fifth Floor is a quieter floor.
  • Wilcox CRC in the Beeghly College of Education has one room (Rm.1211) that is suitable for small groups. They also have one small private reading/study room. Contact Debra Beronja, Wilcox CRC Librarian, for information about these rooms (330-941-3217).

Library Service Basics

Disability Services

Maag Library is dedicated to serving the University community in its entirety. To this end the Library provides:

Computer access to students with special physical needs. The 4th floor computer lab has three (3) workstations that allow the use of wheelchairs.
  • Each of these three workstations also has software with sound capabilities (JAWS 4.51) and software that increases text and picture size (MAGIC 8.02)
  • Students using these stations have access to all of Maag's electronic resources.
  • The Reference Room is equipped with a workstation that is wheelchair accessible.
  • The staff of Maag Library is available to assist users with all of their needs from database research to retrieving materials from the shelves.

For more information or for questions concerning library disability services, contact George Heller, Associate Reference Librarian (330-941-3680).
