Online Articles and Databases

Many book review journals are now available through online subscription databases and through the OhioLINK Electronic Journal Center. Various terms can be used to search these databases, including subject, keywords and relevant dates. Most databases allow access by current YSU faculty, students and staff from off campus, although a few are restricted to in-library use only.   • America: History and Life
    A comprehensive bibliography of articles on the history and culture of the United States and Canada from prehistory to the present. Try an advanced search that limits the article type to book reviews.
  • Art Abstracts
    Indexes over 400 international art publications, including periodicals, yearbooks, and museum bulletins. Try an advanced search and limit the article type to book reviews.
  • Business Source Premier  OFF CAMPUS LINK
    This database offers information in nearly every area of business including management, economics, finance, accounting, international business, and more. To locate book reviews, limit the document type to book reviews.
  • Contemporary authors
    A bio-bibliographical guide to current writers in fiction, general nonfiction, poetry, journalism, drama, motion pictures, television, and other fields.
