Overview

Maag Library provides access to books, journals and databases which support educational philosophies, trends, research, and pedagogy at all levels.

The Wilcox CRC has materials and texts geared for student, classroom and school use. A wide variety of titles for Children, Young Adults and Teachers in Grades K-12 Instruction can be found at the Wilcox CRC located in the BCOE. In addition to the text, multimedia, software and testing collections, access to databases and other reference resources can be obtained through the Wilcox CRC as well as Maag Library.

    In-depth essays on major themes with emphasis on a selected group of 51 countries and regions.
  • World education encyclopedia Ref LB15 .K79 1988
    Arranged by country, detailing educational systems with basic enrollment statistics. Some articles include glossary of terms (from the language of the country to English).

    Index, abstracts, and full-text for many scholarly publications covering all academic areas of study. Includes or has links to full-text.

    Provides citations to and abstracts of journal articles from the CIJE (Current Index to Journals in Education) as well as unpublished reports, papers and other monographs from RIE (Resources in Education). The unpublished materials (denoted by accession numbers beginning with ED) are generally available on microfiche in the Microfilm Center, Lower Level.

  • Social Sciences Citation Index (ISI)
    ISI Citation Databases are multidisciplinary databases of bibliographic information gathered from thousands of scholarly journals. It is indexed so that you can search for specific articles by subject, author, journal, and/or author address. Because the information stored about each article includes the article's cited reference list (often called its bibliography), you can also search the databases for articles that cite a known author or work.
