Locating Books

Books can be found through MaagNet, the Maag Library online catalog or through the OhioLINK Catalog. Use MaagNet to locate items available through Maag Library. Use the OhioLINK catalog to locate items available through other OhioLINK institutions. These items can be requested and delivered to Maag Library for pickup.

Browsing for books
Hospitality Management resources are located throughout the library: items in the Reference Room, Serials and in the circulating collection are all arranged according to the Library of Congress Classification System. Once you locate a book or journal that is useful in one of these areas, you can locate information on the same or similar topics by locating the same call number in the other areas of the library. Locating Articles

Hospitality Management articles are available in print and electronic sources. The information below will help you decide where to begin searching for articles.

Hospitality Management journals that Maag Library receives in print can be located by searching MaagNet, browsing by call number or through the list of Human Ecology journals received by Maag Library. These journals are located on the sixth floor of Maag Library and are arranged in call number order.

Online Articles

Many hospitality management journals are now available through online subscription databases and through the OhioLINK Electronic Journal Center. Various terms can be used to search these databases, including subject, keywords and relevant dates. Most databases allow access by current YSU faculty, students and staff from off campus, although a few are restricted to in-library use only.     All volumes of this journal between 2001 and 2004 are available through the Electronic Journal Center.

  • EBSCO Databases    OFF CAMPUS LINK Includes many journal titles that are relevant to Hospitality Management. Some of the journal titles listed above are contained in this database.

    A multi-industry business database with a strong global focus on company, product and industry information. B&I indexes more than 1,000 of the world’s most authoritative business publications, including trade and business journals, industry newsletters, and a broad collection of regional, national and international newspapers. Full text is provided for many articles.
  • Business Source Premier    OFF CAMPUS LINK
    This database offers information in nearly every area of business including management, economics, finance, accounting, international business, and more.
  • Vocational and Career Collection    OFF CAMPUS LINK
    This database is designed for meet vocational and technical research needs. The collection provides index, abstracts, and full text for 350 trade and industry related periodicals.
